Look at the call for papers for this workshop:

http://conf.researchr.org/track/VMCAI-2016/VMCAI-2016-papers

No program committee in the sidebar because all committees have been put at conference edition level.

For a one track event such as most workshops, the track layer leads to confusion and should be hidden everywhere.

(Also note the repetition of the important dates in the main text.)

yeah this is a problem with DBLP, Smart Software Strategies at SPLASH among others. Can you please just make these as single tracks?

Thanks,

For simple subconferences like workshops, I’m now working on a SIMPLE (tracks only) CMS mode (for main conferences the normal mode is FULL). This is slightly different from what Eelco proposes (hide the track layer). The SIMPLE mode is a mode where configuration items at the conference level are removed, such as committees, venue, attending items, contact, front page management, program schedule, leaving the track hierarchy the same for every conference. This way, a “simple” subconference can still have multiple tracks, which is impossible when we completely hide the track layer. Also track is a keyword we use at various places in the interface.
The SIMPLE cms mode approach solves the main issue with confusing levels of committees and pages (home page vs track page). The SIMPLE mode will become the default for subconferences.
