Hi Elmer,

We would like to create a print on demand conference program as a PDF document. We require the following for all tracks:

  • The event
  • Time
  • Room
  • Title and author of the paper

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,

Will it work for you when there is a printed version link in the program page?
I’m thinking of a printable page (second phase: obtain pdf directly) similar to the detailed time table, without the links.

Yeah I think see if you can create that without the links that would be useful. I guess with all these things you don’t know until you see it.

When I just try and print the detailed timetable it includes links to people’s profile pages.

I guess we also want a version that is printable of the “Your Program” feature too.

Essentially we need a printable program that Annabel or an admin can print that is driven from the web site without relying on some additional spreadsheet or the like. Currently Annabel has a spreadsheet of the sessions which I can forward on so you can see what the kind of thing she is looking for. It however does not include the papers for each session.

Thanks,
Craig

I’m working on the CSS for printing. This hides all links and brings the program table (detailed table) down to the essential information. This CSS will notice the browser what to show when printing. So it will work on any program page (with or without filters). This enables one to print the schedule for particular track and/or day. I might also add the rooms as program filter, so you can also get a program for a specific room.

ok sounds good. As long as we can get a conference program that can contain all events and all tracks that would be great.

Thanks,
Craig

Please have a look. I recommend using Chrome browser. When using Firefox, turn on printing background colors.
