When I start my browser in the morning, it often presents me with a cached version of the last researchr page I visited. When I click on one of the links (e.g., to go to a bibliography), I am redirected to the login page. However, after I login, I return to the homepage. Instead, I should be directed to the page I clicked on.

That is indeed annoying and should be addressed. In the meantime, here is a workaround: after logging in hit the back button of your browser two times (or is it three times?) and you should be back at the page where you were.
