Some people are unable to cope with markdown and are confused when their line breaks are removed or < and > signs.

A check box for explicit activating/deactivating markdown may improve the usability for these users.

For the time being, an easy workaround is to let these users wrap their text with triplets of single quotes (grave accent: ```) such that the text is displayed verbatim.
