The shared XTC cache in /tmp is a problem on machines with multiple users. The first, insecure, solution is to make the xtc cache is a special directory (like /tmp). The second solution is to use a user specific directory, for example /tmp/$USER or some directory in $HOME. However, this is a problem with Nix: a builder can probably not access the current user name …
