This one is probably easier to show with a picture,,, (blame mugtug sketchpad for the colour scheme)

In the above pic, the snake has come half way through the door (head end in the door, if that matters) and the archer has bravely run away, downwards along the wall the door is in.

From here, the archer can move up and down the wall and the snake will not move. moving the archer 1 square away from the wall made the snake move out of the doorway and advance again.

Right now thats intentional. Not really sure how it’s going to change with the introduction of legends.
