Currently, if you want to change the configuration of X11 or any display/desktop/window manager, you need to run “nixos-rebuild switch”, then “restart xserver” to make the change take effect. Simply logging out of the current X session doesn’t work, because the old xserver job will continue to run. This is annoying.
