The CD image, especially the ramdisk is insanely large. There are components that can be removed (why is gcc in there),
or can be replaced (glibc vs. klibc). Furthermore, the Nix store is unpacked on the CD. Using nix-pull and nar.bz2
files this can be reduced a lot and more packages can fit on the CD. It would also make network installs a lot easier.
