Right now the installer is providing vi for editing the text file which is needed to create the file “disklayout” that is used to read values from to install NixOS on the read drive, and so on. For some very strange reason (probably severe mental trauma) some people can’t use vi and will go berserk when confronted with it. Even though it is morally wrong to give these inferior lifeforms what they want, we shouldn’t judge them and give them something like nano.
