The parse errors in “parse fails” tests should be suppressed. (or maybe converted to info messages?)

Right now a parse error in a “parse fails” test can not easily be distinguished from a syntax error in e.g. the testing language.

An additional symptom is that a failing “parse succeeds” test just gives a warning while a succeeding “parse fails” test gives an error.
