It says the warning can be disabled using the CYGWIN environment setting nodosfilewarning, but that doesn’t seem to work. Annoying.

The full warning is something like this:


cygwin warning:
MS-DOS style path detected: C:\Program Files...
Preferred POSIX equivalent is: /cygdrive/c/silly/…
CYGWIN enviroment variable option “nodosfilewarning” turns off this warning.
