Symptoms:

  • resolve only working in 5-10% of the times (looks like race condition)
  • scrolling becomes unresponsive

Environment:

  • 2 different eclipses (different folder, different instances opened) (cause seems to be outside project, outside eclipse)
  • 2 different Spoofax languages (webDSL and relations language)
  • however non-spoofax eclipse editors were fine

Tried (didn’t work):

  • closing projects
  • cleaning projects
  • restarting eclipse

Fix:

  • restart OSX

So it seems to be a combination of the way Spoofax does UI and a screwing up in the OSX display manager. More precisely I disconnected my laptop from the thunderbolt display and connected it the HDMI beamer, that is when I first noticed the that scrolling was unresponsive.

Does this only occur after changing the display configuration?
