Since the introduction of sub-assignment ids (i.e. $13202), the usual variables such as $computed and $checklist throw an error when validating the formula. Reported by Ivo on Mattermost:

It seems like something with variables is broken in the custom grading formula feature. A formula I used before now doesn’t work if I just click “save” again. Some formulas do seem to work, but as soon as I add any variable, it gives me "Grading formula refers to assignment keys that cannot be resolved: ". Or am I missing something?

screenshot with the error Grading formula refers to assignment keys that cannot be resolved on the formula if max($computed, $checklist) == 10 then 10 else 0
