Submissions with guess correction penalties applied are currently expressed as negative grades. We don’t want students to see negative grades/scores.

Notion of Displayed Grade and Raw Score

We’ll change the displayed grade to become the grade without guess correction penalty applied, i.e. 0.0* (with the asterisk) in case of a wrong answer, hinting that some information about the grade can be found in the grade calculation trace (by clicking on the grade).

The grade calculation trace needs to be changed as well and will add a notion of Displayed grade (0.0) and Raw score (e.g., -3.3333 in case of a 1-of-4 closed question), with clarification that the raw score will be used at the parent folder’s grade computation.

The grade calculation trace for the parent folder will also be updated with the computed value of guess correction penalties that are applied at the individual question level.
