It would indeed be nice to allow students to make assignments again. In the past I have facilitated this by duplicating assignments to a tutorial collection. However, that causes duplication of assignments.

Note that the lecture assignments are not closed; they do not have deadlines.

Elmer: it would be nice to have the option of still practicing with a submission after the deadline. Basically we need a second ‘answer’ object that students can work on for that purpose.

Yes, that would be nice. We actually do this in the Algoritmiek course, but let the student show a new report directly to the assistant and then do “override grade”. In our case, the new (final) grade is the average of the old grade and the grade for the improved submission.
