Cloning assignment collections into other editions broken

When I try to clone a collection into another course edition, I get an error. Only way to do this currently, is to clone each sub-assignment and create the collection manually.

Since we need to clone collections each week, this is kind of tedious.

Cloning course editions also does not work anymore. I have TA hours left and like to spend them on preparing the new edition (with three different variants for TI1316, TI1316TW and TI1316TH). As of today, we need to re-create the whole assignment structure manually, since cloning course editions and assignment collections is broken.
