What happens if I give some students a personal deadline extension, and have setup automatic assignments of graders at the deadline?

A grader will be assigned after max(_assignment deadline_, _assignment extension_). Right now it completely ignores the personal deadline

Will those students with a deadline extension be assigned to a grader (and the grader will then see their incomplete solution) or won’t they be assigned?

After reviewing current implementation, automatic assignment of graders can be done, even when a personal deadline hasn’t expired yet. The grader will see a warning-bar with the message that the student can still make changes to his submission.
