Course news will be renamed to Course Announcements, with some visual updates.
When a new course announcement is posted, WebLab will highlight (red button) the announcements icon (new) in the course’ pages.
WebLab will check for new announcements on every page load, in-page submit or save action, and every 3 minutes after last check.

Students can mark announcements as read (new), which removes the red announcements indicator when up to date.

Students should also get notified about system-wide WebLab notifications.
