1) I think stand-alone examples (without autoconf/automake/make) should be explained as well (not packages, way too complicated)

2) For this, explain strcflags (see Java-front chapter)

3) Explain how to link statically (-Xlinker -all-static)

4) Check if all the autoconf/automake/autoxt stuff is still correct.

(I realize there is a separate project for the manual, but it seems to be abandoned. I’d rather report short-term issues here).
