I would propose to change “submit” to “close submission”, and “submitted” to “submission closed for editing”.
One can “re-open submission” to start editing again.
We might also add some info about the last-saved being the one that counts for grading

Let me also again vote in favour of changing “submit” to something else. (I think I’ve complained about this multiple times before as well.)

In my courses I make it very clear that the last saved version is the one that is graded, and not the ‘submitted’ one (by telling students during the course, and by including instructions on the ‘front page’ of the exam). And yes, then I’m also strict in applying this rule. :slightly_smiling_face:
