The “In Memory Of” feature would involve adding a new field to user profiles. This field can only be set by system administrators.
When checked it triggers the following visual and textual changes on the platform:

• Display Profile Pictures in grayscale
• Display memorial icon next to name with year of passing
• Display Profile page in grayscale
• Change “Name: XXXX” to “In memory of XXXX” followed by † YYYY

When set, edit-privileges should be revoked for the account, and changes to the profile should be limited to system administrators only. The profile should still be added searchable, and assignable as role within an event (or committee), but not as content editor.
