It’s neat that we now have a search function.

But getting to it requires one more click and refresh than necessary. Why not replace the word “search” in the menu bar with a text box into which one can just type the search term? The magnifying glass could stay next to it.

In fact, you can see an example right here on yellowgrass! There is just such a box at the top of this page.
