Reported by Tobias:

I got a question here.
Somewhen late in the process, I granted our Workshops chair (Stefan Marr) Management rights on the whole ‹Programming› 2019 conf.
I did that, as I thought it would be easier this way for him to help out the individual WS organizers, as Manager of those WSs (or Subconferences, that is)

However, he was not able to even see the subconferences in the management interface, only the one he was already Manager of.
The ACL site says

Managers of a conference edition:
[…]
• can assign managers to the conference edition and its tracks, and its subconferences

So, although he is Manager, he cannot change the ACLs of the subconferences, because he’s not manager there.

I see a catch-22 there.

If it is intentional, ok, if not, this is my bug report ;)

Let me give you a bit detail, still.

(a) I think it would be good to have a checkbox for “make manager also manager for subconfs“ as you do for " Automatically assign person as Manager + Editor at tracks under …"

(b) the whole thing came to be as our Workshop Chair (using the workshops call thingy you have) wanted to help the individual subconf chair.
Maybe have an option that says “WS Chair gets Manager on auto-created WS Tracks” or so. That way, I would not have to add them as Conf manager nor assign individually.

None of this is urgent but rather for you to give you background :)

Thanks for your ever kind support and quick help!
