It is possible to assign priorities using tags as is done in the Spoofax project (e.g. major). Yet without sorting on priority, this is rather limited. The difficulty with sorting on priority is that YellowGrass already offers two approaches to sort issues on the project page: one based on number of votes per issue and one based on submission time (e.g. this project page). Adding a third list may clutter the interface. Perhaps a switch to choose between three sorting directions (submitted date, nr votes and priority) would provide a workable solution.

Let me know if you have other ideas on how to present priorities, otherwise I will try to implement the switch.
