If you have an old version X of a paper and a new version Y, then paper Y should appear in bibliographies instead of X. Right now, X seems to be hidden and is only included in the bibtex output: instead, Y should be included in the list and in the bibtex output

The same holds for publication lists in user pages (and potentially in other places as well) – I updated the issue.

On refresh of any publication list, publications that are duplicates are replaced by their preferred variant.
